About Our Company & Process

Q: How long has Premier Gardens been in business?

Premier Gardens Ltd was formed through the merger of two established local companies, Premier Gardens and Garden Creations.

Our directors bring a wealth of knowledge to every project, with over 50 years of combined experience in the horticulture and landscaping industry, with careers starting as far back as 1987.

Yes, we are proud members of the Association of Professional Landscapers (APL). Our commitment to quality has also been recognised with a Gold Medal at the prestigious APL Awards

Our work is primarily focused on projects in Northumberland and Newcastle, specifically north of the River Tyne.

We tend to avoid projects further south, as the travel and traffic are not cost-effective for our clients or our business.

Our lead times can vary depending on the time of year and our current workload.

In the past, our lead time has been around six to eight weeks, but it can sometimes be shorter. We recommend contacting us early to schedule your project.

FAQs

Services & Specialisms

Q: Do you offer garden design services?

Yes, we can certainly help develop ideas and create a plan for your garden. We often work collaboratively with clients from their own rough sketches or inspiration photos.

For projects requiring more elaborate or detailed plans, we can connect you with award-winning garden designers with whom we have excellent working relationships.

While the majority of our work is hard landscaping, we are also passionate about planting and soft landscaping. We specialise in handling complex sites, including those with drainage problems, slopes, and difficult access.

Our team is also equipped with the machinery and expertise for technical jobs like large specimen tree and mature hedging installations.

No, we do not offer routine garden maintenance services. Our focus is entirely on designing and building new landscapes from the ground up. We feel our expertise is best used in full-scale transformations.

We strongly advise against it and recommend letting us handle all material procurement. When a client sources their own materials, they also take on the liability for late deliveries or damaged goods, which can cause delays and complications.

When we source everything, we take full responsibility, and our trade relationships often allow us to be more competitive on price

FAQs

Costs & Budgets

Q: How much will my new garden cost?

Every garden is unique, and the final cost depends on many factors, including the size of the space, the complexity of the design, and the materials selected.

After an initial discussion and a thorough on-site visit, we provide a detailed, itemised quotation tailored to your specific project.

For large projects or those that require the ordering of bespoke, custom-made items, a deposit may be necessary to cover these initial costs. We are always happy to discuss costs upfront and provide a detailed quote, so you know exactly what to expect before work begins.
